| Walter Bernardini grew up in Glasgow and at the age of 15 started work in advertising there. He moved to Dublin during the 1960s, subsequently forming graphic design consultancy BB&G as its chief designer and illustrator. The agency flourished for 30 years, and Walter’s career in advertising ran in parallel with his development as an artist. At work he came up with images and branding solutions for a vast range of clients including Volkswagen and the K Club; outside work he painted landscapes and townscapes, many of them appearing on Christmas and birthday cards he made for his family. |
